JAM at the CAM
The Labor Day JAM at the CAM was a gas! We had food, we had fun, we had music in the sun. We had music in the Dark too. This is the last gasp. Tim Conaway and Tony, one of the hipshakers, Rusty Bone and I, still up still playing late on Sunday night.
I had hoped to spring this new song on my buddy Frank from The W.C. Blues Cartel, I have been teasing him about the 12-bar blues for months. He and I had a long talk one night and agreed we both have the right to sing the blues. That the simple things in life, like jamming the blues, are what is important. It don’t matta who you are, everybody gets the blues.
It was nearly as much fun watching Frank as I played this song for the quintessential bluesman Tim Conaway. The irony was delicious. Frank thought it was great. I really wanted to play it on the strat he gave me. It was almost better that I got to play HIS guitar instead. Delightful.
Enjoy

It’s Not What You’ve Lost
I wrote the music for this when I was about sixteen, added lyrics in my twenties and played this song all over San Diego with Wisdom. What fun we had. Originally it was part of the “The Feel the Evil Suite.” A suite in 4 movements for electric guitar and amp. Full of rock and sound effects:D Gosh I was cool.
